Here’s a very interesting looking watch from Megir.
A good choice for those who want something that stands out in the crowd of watches.

Design
The design of this watch is a bit unusual, with its distinct details and sporty look. It has a brushed metallic case with black buttons, black raised bezel, dial with black and grey lines, “3D”-shaped details and orange hands. With other words, there’s a lot to look at here.
At first when I saw pictures of this watch, I was a bit skeptical about the design, but it actually looks very interesting and the combination of details match up nicely.
Case
The case is made of alloy, and is slightly brushed so there’s no glossy finish here. On top of the case there’s a black raised bezel with cross pattern on the sides and white letters on top.
The case is also bigger than the bezel and has a more rounded square shape, even though the bezel and dial is round.
On the side you’ll find the buttons for controlling the chronograph, and as most watches the upper button is start/pause, while the bottom button is for resetting.
Buttons are firm, but there’s no click feedback. Both buttons and the crown are black, with a glossy finish, and a style that matches the rest of the watch.
If you have a look at the back side of the case, you’ll notice that the metal goes all the way to the edge of the buttons. This helps prevent accidentally clicking the buttons while wearing the watch.
The dial measures 45 mm, while the case is 48.2 mm wide, and 12 mm thick. It weighs about 112 grams.
Dial
The glass is made of Hardlex, and as you can see in the pictures it’s completely flat.
When it comes to the dial, there’s a lot going on with all the details, but Megir still made it look very nice and easy to read. The back part is a combination of gray and black lines, which makes it look a bit like carbon fibre. This combined with the metallic surroundings blends together so the look is still clean but detailed. The only real colour here is orange, and it’s the hands and the minute-markers (text) at 3-6-9-12 o’clock. If you turn the watch from side to side you’ll notice that some of the details in the dial are raised, while others are lowered. This gives it a 3D-look.
The design of the dial also blends in with the bezel and case, so the whole “package” looks like one unit, even with the rounded square case and the black raised bezel.
When it comes to lume, it can be a bit hard to tell time when it’s very dark, because of the small lumed area on the hands. As you can see in the pictures below, only the tips of the hands are lumed, together with some of the hour-markers (1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11) and the sub-dials.
Bands
The bands are made of matte black rubber, with white stitches on the side. It’s very flexible and comfortable to wear.
There’s two band retainers to hold the “extra” band after adjusting the size to your liking. A small minus here is that they are both the same size. The band is a bit thinner at the end, so the last retainer should be a bit tighter. Since the band is rubber, this is not really a problem, as it will not move anyway, but it would be a nice detail.
Conclusion
My first opinion about this watch (based only on pictures from the net) was wrong. I thought it would be a bit too much details and unusual look, with the rounded square case and round dial/bezel. The design has really grown on my after I got to see the watch with my own eyes. There’s a lot details here, but they match very well together and looks good! The watch looks both sporty and expensive.
Even with the hands being metal it’s still not difficult to read the time. Black and grey background, together with light from the surroundings helps the metal hands stand out.
The bands are also comfortable, and the watch sits on the wrist without any discomfort.
This is a watch for those who like the sporty look, with clean details and colours. A watch that stands out a bit, and dares to be different. For those of you who like classy looking clean designs, this might be a bit too much.
