Overall design
This is a classic looking watch with not very much details. Big clear letters to mark each hour, and a black back with white/silver hands. The whole design is easy on the eyes, clean and functional, but manages to still look good and interesting. The bottom sub-dial shows the moon phase in blue and gold colour, and gives the watch a more exclusive look.
Case
The case is made of stainless steel, and has a pretty normal look to it. It’s a 40mm dial, but the case itself measures 49.6mm from top till bottom, including the “brackets” where the bands are attached. This is worth considering, when you check if it’s the right size for your wrist. But size is really a matter of personal preferences, so you’ll have to decide yourself it the size is good or not for you.
Materials look very good, and the quality is good. There’s also no hollow sound when tapping on the case.
Thickness of the watch is good, only 13mm.
Buttons are made of metal and feel firm and good. They are only used to adjust the day and month though, so you’ll probably not be clicking them much. You can also feel the movement changing through the buttons, so there’s a bit of a click feedback when adjusting these settings.
The watch including bands weigh about 148 grams, which is nice considering the size of the watch. A watch with a bit of weight always feel more expensive/exclusive.
Dial
The glass is made of Hardlex, and as you can see in the pictures it’s completely flat.
There’s not a lot of textures and colours spread around the dial, but the important parts are very easy to read, and they look good. Almost all details are white on a black background. Numbers, days, months, minute markers and hands are white. Hands are also white, but are surrounded by a silver edge.
When it comes to lume, this watch is simply amazing! Check out the picture below. The picture was not enhanced in any way. It’s really this bright! All hands and hour markers (letters) are lumed, including the marks at 3, 6 and 9.
Automatic
When i first received the watch it wasn’t running, but it immediately started when I moved the watch. I winded it a bit before putting it on, and now 4 days later i have not winded it at all since. At night it’s been laying on the night stand. It just keeps going and going, so the mechanics works very well.
In a period of 24 hours, the watch looses about 10 seconds, which is quite normal for an automatic watch in this price range.
Bands
Bands are very nice. Material is stainless steel, and each link have a circular shape on the outside. They are well-built, and feel very solid.
I had to adjust the length of them when i got the watch, but it is very easy, as they have push pins.
Clasps are of the butterfly type with buttons to release. They work very good, and haven’t come loose even once by accident.
Conclusion
I like the build quality of this watch. It feels very solid on all parts, and the clean design looks good.
Sub-dials with day and month, is in my opinion decorative (i usually don’t forget what day or month it is), but they look good and give the watch some more details.
All the main details are easy to see, even in the dark. The lume is simply amazing!
