Overall design

DEFFRUN makes good-looking watches, and this one is not an exception. The design is clean and classy, with not too much details, and at the same time enough details to make it look interesting. It has a moon phase subdial at the bottom, which is a nice addition regarding the overall design.

Case

The case is made of stainless steel, and has a round shape. When you look at the watch from the front, you can’t really see much of the case, since the dial/window covers almost the whole front.
It looks very clean and nice, but has one noticeable detail. If you look at the case from the side, you’ll notice that the section where the glass is placed, is a little bit wider than the case itself.
Materials and quality is very good, and the finish is flawless, as i cannot see any defects.
The case has a diameter of 41 mm, and a thickness of xx mm.

Buttons are made of metal, and has a nice look too them, although there’s an interesting detail here; The crown itself has a AESOP logo on it (A). Anyway, they work very well and do what their supposed to. The top button sets the day, and the bottom sets the month.

The watch including bands weigh about xxx grams, which feels very good on the wrist.

Dial

Glass is made of Hardlex, and has a domed shape, which looks very nice. Domed glass surely makes watches look and feel more expensive.
The dial also looks good, and the model we have here has a darker blue colour. At first i though the blue would be a bit too dark, but it looks good. The only details inside the blue section are the minute markers on the side. Placed on an angle up towards the glass.

Hours are marked with silver squares with a small round dot inside it (for lume), and 12 is in numbers. Hands are made of metal, with a white section in the middle (for lume).
Subdials have a matte silver circle with black numbers, so their also easy to read. Hands here are red (same colour as the main seconds hand).

When it comes to lume, only dots on the hour markers are lumed, together with the hour and minute hands. 12 at the top is also not lumed.
Subdials and their hands are not lumed.

Automatic

The automatic movement works well and the rotor moves without any hesitation. It will keep the watch running through the night (and much longer) without any problem.
After a period of exactly 24 hours the accuracy of the watch was + xxx seconds.

The movement is visible from the back of the watch, through the colored glass.

Bands

Bands are made of stainless steel and look very nice. It’s made of four rows of slightly rounded square-shaped links. Out of the box, the length is very long, so you probably have to adjust it, unless you have very large wrists. Adjusting is easy, and the push pins go in/out without a problem.

Clasps are of the butterfly type with buttons to release. They work very good, and haven’t come loose even once by accident.

Conclusion

Build quality is good and feels very solid. The automatic movement also works good, and keeps the watch running without stopping at night etc.
The overall design is very clean and classy, and the combination of colours (red,blue,silver) gives the watch a modern and a bit sporty look.
All the details are easy to see, even in the dark.

Cons

Subdials work, and change values automatically, but are in my opinion mostly for decorative use.
(I put the subdials as a pro and con, because they do add some detail to the watch, and it looks good).
The date wheel is a bit deep inside the dial, so from an angle you can’t really see the numbers well. They are perfectly visible when viewing from the front.
