Overall design

This is my first Guanqin watch, and i must say i really like how beautiful and elegant it looks. When i fist saw it in pictures I thought it looks good and all, but it looks much better in real. The dial has a very nice finish/pattern that alone raise the impression. The open heart design also looks very interesting, and makes it possible to see some of the gears and the balancing wheel.

Case

The case is made of stainless steel, and doesn’t really have much details. It’s round, has clean rounded edges, and a nicely polished finish. I think this is a good thing, because it draws the focus to the dial instead of the case.  When looking from the front, you can’t really see much of the case anyway.
The case has a diameter of 43 mm, and a thickness of 13 mm.

The crown also has an interesting and beautiful look to it. It has a domed shape, and lined cutouts. Check out the pictures below.

On the back you’ll find the window to the movement, and even here you’ll find beautiful details.

The watch including bands weighs about 82 grams, so it’s not very heavy, but feels right for its size.

Dial

Glass is made of Sapphire, and has a flat shape. The white dial looks very nice indeed, in combination with the silver details and golden “heart”. Hours and minutes are marked, with lines numbers and roman text.

Next to each hour marker, there is a little round and slightly green circle. This what is used for lume, which is quite good.

Sub dials show 24-hour time (left), and the right subdial has a double function. It actually shows both moon-phase and seconds (1 round = 2 minutes). There is no seconds hand coming from the center of the watch, so this is the only one.

When looking at the size of the lumed circles, i didn’t think the lume would be any good, and boy was I wrong…
The lume looks kinda like a little LED. It’s bright and looks very interesting. Hands are also well lumed, so telling time in the dark is no problem.

Automatic

The automatic movement works well and the rotor moves without any hesitation. The rotor feels to be a bit heavier than on many other watches. The watch keeps running through the night (and even the next night) without stopping.

After a period of exactly 24 hours the accuracy of the watch was + 3 seconds, which is very good!

Bands

The bands are made of leather, and looks quite nice. Although they are a little bit stiff closest to the case. I do have other watches with similar bands, and they all took shape of the wrist when using it, so this is in my opinion not a problem.

Conclusion

The watch looks good, and i really like the elegant designed dial. The case matches the style well, and so do the bands.
Automatic movement works very well and keeps the watch running without any problems.
The open heart design looks very good, and i like how the second-hand is moved to a sub dial. It doesn’t really make the function any better, but it makes it feel a little bit more elegant.
Material quality is also good, and the polished finish is good.

Pros

Nice clean design
Beautiful dial with its details
Material quality
Easy to read in the dark
Automatic works very good
All sub-dials work and look good

Cons

No date
Bands are good, but i feel this watch deserves even better bands.
