Overall design
Yet another good-looking watch from DEFFRUN. This one has an open look / skeleton case, where we can see almost every gear and other details moving inside the watch. The gold colour also looks good without making the watch look cheap.
Case
The case is made of stainless steel, and has a round shape, with a chamfered golden top. Since the top is chamfered, and the bottom is rounded, the watch feels quite compact. Anyway this is not a big watch. The golden colour on the case match very well with the dials colour (and gold on bands), and they look very nice together.
On the back you can see some of the watch rotor and some other details. The glass used here is coloured, so it’s not very clear.
Material quality is good, and it has a nice finish all over.
The case diameter is 40 mm, and the thickness is 12 mm.
The watch including bands weigh about 140 grams, which feels very good on the wrist.
Dial
The window is made of glass, and has a flat shape, which suits the rest of the design.
Regarding the dial, there isn’t really much “dial” here (since it’s a skeleton case), but the edge has a nice white metallic look to it, with gold colour roman numbers, and two “bridges” at the bottom where it’s written “Automatic 21 Jewels” and “Sapphire crystal”. This watch also comes with a blue or gold dial (see product link). I chose the white dial simply because I think it looks the best, and there’s not “too much” gold. The gears and other internals are nicely gold coloured, and looks good. This gives the watch a very interesting look, but it also makes the dial a bit cluttered. There’s a lot going on here, but it’s still no problem to read the time. Hands are also gold coloured with a white center, and has a droplet shape.
Hour-markers and hands are lumed, so no problem reading time in the dark. It’s also easy to see which hands is hour and minute.
Automatic
The automatic winding mechanism keeps the watch going without having to wind manually during the day.
The accuracy is also good, and after 24 hours it was 10 seconds ahead.
Bands
Bands are made of stainless steel and feel very solid. The golden rows between the links look very nice, and match the case design very well. One think i have noticed with Deffrun-watches is that the bands are usually very long, and it’s the same with this watch. Even my medium/large wrists are to small for theses bands, so they had to be adjusted. Adjusting the length is an easy task and done in a minute.
The clasps also nice and secure. It’s the butterfly type with buttons, and they work just as intended without any problems.
Conclusion
The watch looks good and the material quality is good. The skeleton-design is very interesting and well made, with the golden details/gears etc. Bands are comfortable and match the rest of the design very well.
