Overall design

This is my first Xiaomi watch, and I’m impressed by the build quality. The watch isn’t big but it has a nice weight to it, and the design is beautiful. The leather bands also match the design very well, and the quality is good.

Case

The case is made of 316L stainless steel, and has a round shape. Since the dial goes almost from edge to edge, there’s not much wasted space here. The case is very compact. The matte black colour also looks good and seems to be of good quality, so it should not scratch easily.
The back is not made of the typical thin metal that you wind on most watches. It’s actually quite solid, but it’s also a bit difficult to remove and put back on, as it sits very tightly on. This is also a good thing, as it might protect better against water (the watch is 5ATM).

The case has a diameter of 40 mm, and a thickness of 11.9 mm

The watch including bands weighs about 42 grams, so it’s not a heavy watch (but it’s also not big).

Dial

The glass is slightly domed/curved, and is made of sapphire crystal.
Clean design is clearly a focus with this watch. As you can see in the pictures below, the dial is quite simple, while it’s still easy to read all the information on it.
The dial has a circular pattern from the center and all the way to the edge. Hours are marked with white lines, but there’s no minutes markers. Hands show you only hours and minutes, as there’s no seconds marker at all on the watch.
The smaller subdial at the bottom shows the steps count so far this day. It shows actual steps, and not percentage of reached goal.

Bands

The bands are made of leather, and feel very good to the touch. Quality is very nice, and their comfortable on the wrist. They match the rest of the design very well, but in my personal opinion they’re a little bit thin.

App

The app gives you options to set the time, which is not possible to do directly on the watch itself. The crown on the side is actually just a button. After connecting the watch to the app, you can choose time settings and the hands on the watch will set automatically to the correct time. The first time you do this the time might not be correct on the watch, but it’s easily fixed by a function in the app, where the hands can be adjusted. Conclusion

I like the design very much. It looks very good, and the material quality is also very good.
The watch is compact and well-built, but sadly it’s a little bit small for my wrist.

Activity tracking works, and looks nice on the watch, but functions like call/message notifications will only work if you have a Xiaomi phone.. I hope this will be changed in the future.
