Benyar BY-5121 - Automatic - Simply Unbox It

A gorgeous and classy looking watch from Benyar.
It’s got an open dial, so you can see parts of the automatic movement.
The case is not the traditional round shape, it’s square-ish with a round raised bezel.

Design

This is a very nice looking watch. It’s classy and kinda sporty at the same time.

We often see watched with open dials that are a bit messy, meaning there’s too much going on with the dial and all, so telling time becomes difficult. This is not the case with the Benyar BY-5121. Here it’s easy to read the time, because the dial is well designed and the hands are white.

Case and window

The shape of the case makes it look interesting, as it’s not the typical round case. This one is square-ish, with a raised round bezel. The glass on top is also slightly rounded, which makes it look whole and expensive.

From the back you can see the movement through the clear glass. It looks very nice and all details look good.
The watch is onl rated 30M water resistance, so you can’t really use it under water, but it should handle daily use, like rain and splashes etc.

Dial

As mentioned before the dial is open, but not messy. I like how it looks, and the color combinations are very nice. Black with silver an gold/copper looks very nice.

Being able see the gears move around is also quite nice when the whole package looks as good as this one does.

Hour and minutes/seconds are well marked and easy to see.

Telling the time in the dark is also no problem, as the hands are lumed.
No other details are lumed though..

Bands

The bands are made of leather and are a bit thick, but they’re not uncomfortable to wear. After wearing them for a little while, they do take shape of the wrist and are actually not bad at all

The clasp at the end looks quite nice and adds to the overall design.

Movement

The movement is listed as G3265Z. I could not find any information about it, but my own tests show an accuracy of +17 seconds per day.
I also found that this movement is used by Pagani Design.

Conclusion

I really like the design of the watch. All the details match well togheter, and even the clasp looks good. The watch looks expensive.
The open dial also looks good without being distracting, and the automatic winding works very well.
